I just want to start shit

Sister has me and Boyfriend hooked on Bob’s Burgers.  It’s easily one of the funniest shows on TV right now (along with Ugly Americans, Archer and 30 Rock).  Tina does that anxious moan that everyone loves, Lynn is confident for bad reasons, Bob is dry and blunt, Gene is… not that funny, actually.

But Louise.  Oh my goddess.  Louise.

She’s a self-centered instigator (neither of which I am most of the time, but desperately wish I could be) and is therefore my role model and the person I want to be.  Right now.  I want to be a clever trouble-maker.  I want to cut credit cards into ninja stars.  I want to con some idiot into thinking wearing a horse costume is a great way to win over a girl.  I want to scream, “We’re having a CRISIS!” and be taken seriously.

She also happens to be pretty heartless most of the time, which isn’t a quality I strive for most of the time, so I guess I’ll never be this awesome.  *sigh*  Oh well.

The best possible ending to 2012

I just discovered this Star Trek: The Next Generation gag reel from season 2 (I think).  As if I needed another reason to love Star Trek.  I’ve watched it twice tonight.  SO GOOD.

MS Paint, my first love

My coworker (let’s call her Hollywood Coworker for her constant mention of how she used to “work in the industry,” and watches a lot of TV) often laments (read: hates) being older than the college students we’re inevitably surrounded by (working on a college campus and all), and the other day was no different.  I told her how a lot of my childhood drawings were done on MS Paint, and showed her my favorite new drawing tool: crayon!  She complained about how she used to use actual crayon, and how it’s so much better (having never used MS Paint).  So I decided to show her the ropes.  Then this happened:

“Ok, guess what I’m drawing.”

that’s it

“… alligator.”

Seriously, how did she know?  This cracked me up.  OH LIFE.

UPDATE: This website dedicated to using MS Paint is adorable.

Meme, redeemed

i lol’d

I was sick of the “Call Me Maybe” situation as soon as it started.  I still can’t figure out why this song got so much attention, it’s so average.  I think the fact that everyone was nuts about it made me hate it even more.  It’s only hilarious stuff like the guy who wrote on the windshield of a filthy car in my garage that redeems annoying memes like this.

And then I saw this video, which made me love this song for the first time after months of hearing (and hating) it.  It also reminded me that humans are awesome, if for no other reason then because we do stuff like this.  Also, landing on Mars recently.  That was pretty epic.
